Week 12

For this week, we worked on the pitch deck.  Unfortunately, I was unable to attend our weekly meetings, because of a housing/leasing situation I was in.

I understand that our approach is to first present the problem to the judges - we were reminded that Rick had told us to make this as "painful" as possible to the audience.  We want the problem to hit close to home and then provide a solution to that problem.  We will start by introducing the patent and our potential market.  Then, we will explain our target market and present our research regarding that.  We will then move on to heavier topics - our financial forecast and our company timeline.  This builds up momentum to our main goal of the pitch - to request for funding.

This pitch deck is attractive, because it first grabs the audience and the judges' attention with the problem presented.  Then, we present the more light-hearted material, while also demonstrating our strength through the extensive research we conducted on the market, our clear proxy, and how we can prove that we are the most competitive company within the market.  The clarity of our approach builds confidence for the judges in us and thus will lead us to greater success in securing funding for our company.

  1. Looking forward to it. Most pitches have weakness in financials and go-to-market. We'll be drilling in there on Thurs. Best... RR
